Just a reminder that the Annual A-Town Get Down is this Saturday from noon until midnight at the Charles Morris Center. The event is a public music and art festival promoting Arts Education. R&M will be there to support this incredible event that was created to honor the memory of Alex Townsend, a junior at Savannah College of Art and Design who passed away on Valentine’s Day 2010. This year’s headliner is Loudon Wainwright III, Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter, humorist and actor, performing along with other eclectic acts from the Savannah creative community. Live art exhibitions include ceramics, screen printing, painting and urban art, visiting artist Peat Wollaeger, and children’s art activities.
