Happy Thursday everyone. It’s nice to finally feel the weather start to warm up here in Savannah, or at least get above freezing. Warm weather is exactly what we’re hoping for February 6th, as well. Why, you ask? It’s the day of the 2010 Critz Tybee Run. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the run, it’s a half marathon and 5 K right on beautiful Tybee Island. The two races begin within 30 minutes of each other, and at the end, there’s an after-race party with food, drinks, awards and all-around fun.
So far, there’s already 1,600 people registered – more than half of the 3,000-person limit. With the race only a few weeks away, we’re encouraging everyone who hasn’t registered yet to go ahead and do so because this event will definitely sell out. You can register now through February 5 at Active.com and visit www.critztybeerun.com for more information. The cost of registering between now and January 17th is $35 for the Half Marathon and $25 for the 5 K. After January 17th the cost goes up to $45 for the Half Marathon and $35 for the 5 K. Keep in mind: you can’t register the day of the race. We hope to see everyone out there!
