Stay In Savannah’s DoubleTree Savannah Historic District hotel just went through some major renovations! To celebrate the hotel’s makeover, they held a renovation reveal party last Friday to show off what they have been working on for the last three and a half months. We all attended, and we were blown away! From the lobby to the top floor and everything in between, the whole hotel was beautifully redone. Design Continuum Inc., (DCI) out of Atlanta did a fabulous job on the interior design making the space modern, elegant and comfortable. Cool purples, blues and greys swept through the lobby and library. Purples and greys were found again in the guest rooms with some yellow to warm up the space. You can find photos of the updated guest rooms on the hotel’s website

After we finished “oooh-ing” and “ahh-ing” at the gorgeous interiors, we dipped into one of the conference rooms for lunch and a game of craps. Yes, did we mention there were casino games strewn around the first two floors during the party? Lisa and Kinzie killed it at the craps table, bringing in over $100,000 each. Too bad it was just in vouchers – otherwise we’d be halfway to the Bahamas right now!

As always, we enjoyed our time with our friends from Stay In Savannah, and we are proud of all the work they have been doing to continuously make the DoubleTree Savannah Historic District a fabulous place to stay for Savannah residents and visitors alike. And don’t worry—the look of the hotel may have changed, but the cookies still taste the same.
