The 2012 Summer Olympics will be getting underway today in London, but it’s not too early to talk about the absolutely stunning font that was just recently created for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. When you think about just how many fonts are available, attempting to make a completely new and unique font that incorporates aspects of this event is a challenge to say the least. Font studio, Dalton Maag, used inspiration from real world geographical forms and physical objects, which you can see by reading the full article here. As our graphic designer Chaz so eloquently put it, “It’s pretty and I want it!” We’ll have a while to wait, but hopefully it will be released for commercial use sometime after the 2016 Summer Olympics are finished.
