This gentle orangey-pink shade represents a desire for calm in a year of uncertainty following in the footsteps of last year’s bold pick, “Viva Magenta,” which signified a “stepping out” of sorts from the pandemic years.

Beginning in 2000, Pantone released their Color of the Year as a shade that forecasts color trends in the year to come and stands as a global reflection of fashion, culture, and emotion. Each year’s pick is decided by a diverse team of color experts. A single color is selected to represent team findings, then narrowed down to a specific shade.
