The Savannah Airport Commission has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Financial Officers Association for its comprehensive annual financial report.
The certificate of achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the Airport Commission’s Finance Department. This marks the 10th year the airport has received the award.
The comprehensive annual financial report includes information on the structure, economic situation, personal and finances of the airport and was a joint effort between the Savannah Airport Commission, the auditing firm of Holland, Henry and Bromley, LLP, and Robertson and Markowitz Advertising and Public Relations. The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving approximately 17,000 government finance professionals.
