With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, love is in the air. And what better way to celebrate than an afternoon of passionate and romantic music from the Savannah Philharmonic! For one day only, they will hold a special Valentine’s Day weekend performance entitled Pure Romance on Sunday, February 13 at 3 p.m. at the Trustees Theater. You’ll experience a repertoire that includes some of the most well known works from the who’s who of composers including Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Piazzolla and Brahms. The musical selections include:

Strauss’ Fledermaus Overture
Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture
Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires
Brahms’ Symphony No. 2

Between these four pieces, you’ll hear everything from sultry tangos to classic symphonic melodies. The concert will also feature soloist, Ricardo Ochoa, playing the violin in Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. He is currently the principal of the Savannah Philharmonic’s second violin section and is going to be fantastic. This concert is a perfect way to celebrate this romantic holiday with a loved one, family or friends, and tickets will sell out!

Concert tickets are available for purchase at www.savannahphilharmonic.org or by calling (912) 525-5050. Ticket prices are $15 to $50, with limited seats at $100.

See you there!
