You’d think that in order to receive an awesome return from a Super Bowl ad, you’d actually have to air your commercial DURING the Super Bowl. Not so fast! Esurance took a different route, saving a lot of money by airing the commercial directly after the Big Game. The $1.5 million they saved was given to one lucky Twitter winner, which they announced during the actual commercial. The campaign was so successful that Esurance received 1 BILLION impressions in less than 48 hours following the game, including 3 million tweets. That’s more tweets than there were for Bruno Mars and either of the participating NFL teams! It just goes to show that you don’t have to spend the most money to make the biggest impression.
