As part of its mobile platform updates, Facebook Mobile is introducing a variety of fun new features to its mobile app that will roll out this week. In partnership with Open Table, a popular  real-time reservation service, Facebook Mobile users will now have the ability to make restaurant reservations right from your Facebook account. Facebook’s integration with OpenTable puts a reservations option on participating restaurants’ Facebook pages in addition to the traditional uses of being able to search for restaurants by location or name, then pick a date and time to secure a reservation. Currently, the service supports reservations for 28,000 restaurants. OpenTable also supports menus and customer reviews. In addition, the mobile updates will include hashtag support, a feature that was launched on the desktop version in June and allows words and phrases to be clickable and searchable. Be on the look-out for these new features this week on your mobile device.
