IBM’s tagline "Let’s Build a Smarter Planet" has moved to the city level with it’s latest campaign, "Smart Ideas for Smarter Cities." What better way to advertise this concept than with smart, purposeful technology that the average city dwellers will actually use? IBM’s outdoor campaign accomplishes just that. Take a look at billboards that also serve as a shelter from the rain, a ramp over stairs and a bench. The copy on the billboards tie into the theme of the specific purpose. For example, the copy on the bench asks, "sitting on a smart idea for your city?" Further proof that outdoor campaigns don’t have to be boring. Well done, IBM.
