The Oscars telecast last night featured the best in this year’s movies and red carpet fashion, and big brands took advantage of the huge ratings by releasing big budget ads. One such brand was dijon mustard brand, Grey Poupon. Depending on your age, you might remember them from their iconic series of ads in the 1980s with the famous line in the British accent, "pardon me, would you have any Grey Poupon?" In an effort to reach the next generation of mustard lovers, the company aired "Grey Poupon: The Lost Footage" once during the Oscars last night. The spot picks up right where the original commercial left off. In addition to the two minute feature, there is also a host of bonus content on the company’s YouTube channel, including interviews, a trailer, and an additional ad for “The Gravy Yacht“, which is a gravy boat for the sophisticated consumer. Users can also sign up to win prizes through Grey Poupon’s Facebook page including a tin of caviar and a $100 American Express gift card. What do you think of the spot?
