As the largest social networking site in the world, Facebook seems to be celebrating milestones often these days, but this one is especially cool. According to a study performed by Edison research, Facebook can now truthfully claim that a majority of Americans use the site. The study concluded that 51% of Americans 12 years and older have Facebook profiles. That’s even more staggering when you consider that just three years ago only 8% of the same population had profiles. The study was conducted in January 2011 and surveyed 2,020 respondents 12 years and older. Edison will release their full findings at their webinar in April. Congratulations Facebook!
