GEICO Insurance has done a pretty good job over the years when it comes to branding and advertising. They have a handful of concepts rotating, all with the same point, “15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance”.  Some of the newer, more memorable commercials are based on the premise of, ‘everyone knows 15 minutes can save you 15% of more on car insurance but did you know [Funny, obscure fact].’

One of the newest features Taz the Tasmanian Devil. Yep, that’s right, the cartoon character! Did you know some cartoon characters should never have an energy drink? Well, Taz is one of them. Watch what happens when he takes just one sip.

Did you know that GEICO stands for Government Employees Insurance Company? GEICO was founded in 1936 and founder, Leo Goodwin, first targeted a customer base of U.S. government employees and military personnel.  In 1994, GEICO wanted to grow and grow fast, so they approached The Martin Agency and that was the beginning of all of the memorable commercials and characters. Remember the cavemen?!
