You know the saying: if you can’t beat them, join them. Even if they’re making fun of you. That’s exactly what Microsoft has done in its most recent advertising campaign for its often-criticized web browser, Internet Explorer. Instead of fighting its naysayers or belittling its competition, Internet Explorer has embraced its reputation as the redheaded stepchild of the web browser world and made a pretty clever commercial about its latest product, IE10. The commercial pokes fun at the infamous "basement-dweller" who spends his free time bashing IE because well, everyone hates IE, right? Hating on Internet Explorer is the trendy thing, however unfounded the belief may be. However, if you actually take the time out and browse "TheBrowserYouLovedToHate.com", you’ll see actual positive reviews from real people, most of whom are just as surprised as you are that they could actually like a Microsoft browser. What do you think of the campaign?
